Did you say, eight-year non-compete deal...
Does the contract actually say, eight years? 'Cause it seems it was signed eight years ago.

Unless that's what you /meant/... in which case, did Novell really sign a contract to not ever compete with SCO (Tarantella), ever? (I think Apple Computer has a perpetual non-compete with The Beatles' Apple Records...) For that matter, is it Tarantella (which was called SCO in 1995), and not SCO-2003 (which was Caldera then), that has any non-compete contract with Novell?
