So Microsoft is now venturing into the open source arena?
Wonder why they are having a change of heart here? Perhaps the pressures of dealing with countries moving away from the proprietary closed source systems to more open source stuff (as with Brazil)? Perhaps, as few want to get into CS programs, this is a desperation attempt to get people to develop for them?

Cynical minds want to know (since we have watched this company for the past 20 years, give or take...).
