THANK YOU.
I been hoping someone would post what you did. RedHat Linux was my 1st and tutorial environment in Linux (7.1?,7.2?). It was great. The only distro at that time that autodetected all my hardware and made installation easy.

The best thing about RedHat is that they seemed to GPL everything they create. Now, according to you, that is still so, and I am happy to hear that. RedHat was great, but I got bored of not tinkering with it (it just kept running..) and fell into rpm bottomless pit twice (before I learned how not to) and thus currently use Gentoo.

RedHat has contributed much to the community (not only as code), we have a lot to thank them for, and people forget that; just because they rebranded "RedHat Linux" to "Fedora Core."
