If Sun wants to keep some of its stuff they develop or have proprietory, that is fine. If they want to open up some stuff, that is fine too. Michael Tiemann needs to shut his pie hole. If anything, Sun believes in open source as well as proprietory software. I dont see IBM opening up its technology that they get good margins on. By the way dont bring up Eclipse. Sometimes I believe open source advocates like Michael Tiemann are closed minded to idea of proprietory software. The proprietory and open sources ideas are both great.
