They are going to need a supplier
Whether or not the little guys are going to opt for the less expensive linux, there is going to be a problem in supplying any demand that may develop. The inexpensive route for the little office is to buy their boxes from the Office Depot, Best Buy, or even Costco/Sams Club kind of outlets where they get a special price on a package. Not much in the way of linux machines available in those channels now or ever.

The little guy buying linux is going to need support and they are not going to get it very cheaply. One experience with the "consultants" preying on the linux newbie and it will be back to Mr. Softee ASAP.
