SCO plans more Linux lawsuits

Since the day that Darl McBride was hired on, SCO has been scheming on ways to make money. There's the 'questionable' dealing with Microsoft where Microsoft allegedly only dealt with SCO long enough to buy a license for Unix. Puh-LEASE. It's a well-known fact that Microsoft has been driving hard to destroy Linux because of the outlook that within the next 10 years Linux will own 40% of the desktops. Microsoft has never had major competition in the Operating System market. Now they are faced with competition from a product that is obviously more stable and (here's the word Microsoft hates) OPEN SOURCE.

SCO doesn't have the money to play poker with Big Blue. They have a King, Two, Six, Nine, and a Four. All different suits. Darl McBride thinks he is the king of poker faces, and SCO hired Darl because he has been in litigation before, and wasn't afraid to go all the way to court.

I see it as this: Microsoft has lined SCO's bank account. Why do I say that? Answer is very obvious. Before SCO had IBM served with notice, they had sold a license to Microsoft. Before the media even had broken the story of SCO suing IBM, they were busy breaking a smaller story of Microsoft buying a license from SCO to use UNIX. So this would imply that SCO gave Microsoft notice that they were planning such a move. Why would SCO give Microsoft notice as opposed to suing Microsoft? If SCO were correct (laughing hysterically), they could have sued Microsoft for 3 billion and IBM for 3 billion and wait to go to court.

Microsoft can't compete out in the open with an operating system that is freely available for download from most manufacturers. They've tried and haven't had any luck making Linux go away. What better way than to have a quiet partner wage war and sue anyone using linux, or at least scare all linux users back to using Windows. Microsoft see's sales go up, Linux dies (NEVER gonna happen), and SCO swims in the rewards of having a big partner like Microsoft giving them money to bleed. And Microsoft eventually buys SCO as reward for driving Windows sales back up.

Has anyone seen a picture of Darl McBride? Parents must have been dumba$$ rednecks, couldn't even spell DARYL or DARYLL. He even looks like the anti-christ. He makes Marilyn Manson look angelic.

In his own words from an interview at http://www.crn.com/sections/special/top25/top25_03.asp?ArticleID=45992 : "But what they don't see is that we're trying to defend the rights of capitalism for the silent majority," McBride says. "Linux leaders pound the table about a community-driven model where everything is free, and that's the flip side of capitalism. This country was founded on capitalism, the right to make a profit for what you own, not give it away for free."

Darl has no comprehension about how strong and big the Open Source and FREE community is. Darl McBride has no idea of what he has done and with whom he has picked a fight. He might want to consider changing his name and plastic surgery as well as relocating back to Japan. Once IBM, Novell, Red Hat, and the Open Source community are done with SCO, Darl will be lucky if he can get a job at a Burger King placing frozen patties on a BBQ grill part-time.

In fact, I'm willing to place $20 that says SCO is wrong in their allegations and once proven, and new CEO will be appointed and Darl will 'step-down' (more likely fired by the board).
