Great feature, bad platform

While I'm no fan of Windows, I do like this feature of MC. But its nothing new to the world of HTPC's.

I use Mythtv in my house. It has all the capabilites of the current version of MC, as well as the new version. You can have mutiple front ends accessing the same stored content anywhere in the house. You can even use an XBox as a front end as as well. So in this case, Microsoft was beat to the punch on this feature. You can also farm out a backend server cluster with more than one computer serving shows, you can have mutiple tuner cards so you can record more than one show at the same time. Plus all the features of a next-generation settop box like videos, pictures, music, games, web access, and more.
