Open Source or not will be meaningless in the future
I figure around 2030 we will start seeing programming average joe can do simply to create an app on the fly.

You won't buy a computer and they buy software but instead will just buy the computer. It will be a black box that does exactly what you want and you won't have to be rocket scientist to get the computer to do what you want. I figure you will just talk to it, tell it what you want and you get the results.

Kind of like Star Trek's holodecks. You know, where the user states what they want and the computer produces the results. Then you take the results and change them hold the fly to suit your needs at that time.
