Personally, I got Firefox because I love tabbed browsing and the extensions available, and it renders my W3C compliant pages correctly (unlike IE).

Security? Perhaps it's not as bad, because Firefox doesn't interact with the OS, so you're not likely to take down the entire computer jsut by hacking Firefox, but I must warn that it's not perfect. Nothing is.
