Mozilla development is backed by Netscape, which is owned by AOL, and if that's not a greedy slimy controlling corporation.. I don't know what is!

And the reason anybody could catch upto IE was that MS decided the product was "good enough" after v5, added some stuff to try to appease security/privacy concerns for v6.. and hasn't touched it since. Microsoft is rightly losing market share to other browsers.. but the giant has been woken up, so to speak.. and if Microsoft gets serious about developing a browser again, it can only be good for consumers..
