Knowing that people often use the same username across the web and that some of those individuals stick to the same one or two passwords, gaining a user's gmail name and password could mean the ticket to any number of other, more sensitive, sites that individual uses. It's all the more reason to not put all your eggs in one basket; vary your usernames or, if not them, definitely vary your passwords and change them every so often.
