What the heck could be the possible use?
Gmail would be the WORST place to use for SPAMING. All of your outbound mail would be saved and it would soon become QUITE apparent that this account was the source of SPAM.
Searching through plain text emails for financial information would be more effective at a mail server - no need for time-consuming individual account logins.
If Gmail allowed encrypted email, and it saved past emails without encrypting, it might be possible that some idiot would be sending financial information out in email. But remember, the user KNOWS that Google is keeping information and they would be quite leery of using financial info.
I just don't get it - whats the use?
