No Presidential Candidate has been "without Money"
Don't evaluate Presidential candidates by whether they have ever "been without money". Because if you really checked into it, all of the Presidential candidates over the past 30 years have come from well-funded families. It takes millions of dollars and lots of political IOU's to run for President, so the opportunity for the average Joe to run for President is a myth. The two political parties would like us to think we have a choice, but we really don't ... except for choosing what they have already approved.

Take a look at John "Forbes" Kerry ... now what do you think the Forbes stands for? Kerry has always been in the money, also got special treatment (extra medals) in the military, and then married a rich widow. Tough life! And do you really believe he could be elected as a Democrat Senator in the state of Massachusetts without being vetted by the Kennedy's?

And another thing ... this recession really started in the Clinton era. Who promoted NAFTA? ... your friend, slick Willie.

The issue isn't Democrats vs Republicans. Both parties have sold out the middle class worker.
The real issue is the elite Washington and East Coast crowd versus the rest of the country. Find yourself a copy of a book written 40 years ago called "The Power Elite". It was true then and it is the same now, only worse.
