In consulting you make a LOT more money but at the same time I found you work a lot more hours.

Then with consulting you have those dead times where you need money float through them. Basically you better be good at business because that's what you are.

Now if you want a job where you know when you work and how long with a regular pay cheque then being an employee is better but you trade that for a lot less money.

I don't miss consulting even though I technically made more money for my hours worked. I like the fact that I know my weekend are my time again.
