MS filesystems on Solaris?
Bad idea. There are other open source alternatives that are *superior* to NTFS and they are free to include in a open source Solaris.

The only thing that Sun bought when mending fences with Microsoft was additional marketing opportunities, resources to aid in integrating Solaris with Windows OS's and a large cash settlement.

The smartest thing that Sun could do to compete with Linux is not to compete with it at all. Linux already runs on UltraSparcs, they should dump Solaris in favor of Linux.
