Firstly, the witnesses in question were working for AT&T when they gave their original testimony, not IBM:

"two former AT&T employees cited by IBM ... their testimony regarding AT&T's intentions when it sold its rights to Unix directly contradict their testimony in an earlier case involving AT&T and Berkeley Software Design"

Secondly, they were acting for AT&T in a case that AT&T lost. Lastly, you need to look at the actual testimony to find out whether they contradicted themselves at all.

You made a pretty clear statement that you think IBM is in the wrong. Now you claim you're "smart enought to say I don't know". So you admit your original inference was seriously misguided, which was pretty much what Xunil_Sierutuf inferred ... thanks for the honesty.
