Novell Moves To Benefit IT and Users
Novell is doing a better job of bringing open source and other OS systems together. They understand that people will be using the solution that works for them.

That is why they are implementing for IT the ability to manage updates to windows, linux, solaris, and mac. They work on being multi-OS friendly on the server.

The problems of the User on the desktop is now the
most difficult one. The Linux desktop that Novell is working on (a combination of Suse and Ximian) will solve a lot of the compatiblity problems that windows brings.

The Suse Enterprise Server8 or 9 with Novell Linux Services already has LDAP,Linux User Groups and Samaba Workgroup Supports that will enable IT to give users transparent access to network resources. Using E-directory the security and identity of each User can be verified.

This link will take you to resources and more information on where Novell is going.
