Talk about trying to walk on both sides of the fence. Closed source=Novell's software, Open source=everyone else's software.

Open source is great for everyone else, but we still want you to pay us for closed source software licensing; that was too funny.

Where was Steve Gillmor's (Allchin's last stand?) enlightened commentary with camera angles on this one? Novell desperately deserved ZDNet's 'fair and balanced' journalism on this one but got passed by. Oh that's right, it was not Microsoft so you don't slam them. happy

Is anyone reading this old enough to remember why Novell is no longer king of the hill as they once were? Because they were and still are every bit the nickel and dime'ing for poor software license fee company that they always have been. The only thing that has changed is that they are now wanna bees. If this article said anything to me it was that Novell was attempting to find some path to take Linux from an open source non-proprietary software base to a close source proprietary software base.

Linux evangelists pay attention; Judas (Novell) is not your friend.
