I think that you over generalized

I think that you can't think of the entire market as just a PC market, it is probably more actuate to think of it being several smaller markets.

MS has the desktop market sewn up, but the server market does not belong to MS and I doubt the entire server market will ever be owned by MS. I do believe that MS servers make better application servers, but Windows 2000, 2003 or Longhorn can't touch Linix servers when it comes to routing and basic server tasks such as file sharing and print servers; it isn't even a close comparison. Recently I had to replace a Windows 2000 file server with a 3 GHz CPU that had a hardware failure, I temporarily replaced it with an old Linux machine running Samba with a 2 GHz CPU. The Linux server out performed the Windows server even though the Windows server had been a more powerful machine with more RAM.

A strong enterprise presence is likely but domination is not a probably not a strong possibility, not when the backbone of any enterprise network still boils down to basic file sharing where Linux does it faster and costs much less.
