Poltical philosophy isn't essential to the argument
With the Leninist component, government ownership of the means of production is assured. That makes a Communist/Capitalist split irrelevant, except of course where a variety of open source is imposed by government to gain control. Not the usual case.

Even on the better Socialist/Capitalist split, there's the assumption that workers' needs will be met by the State. Nobody cares whether open source contributors have enough income, so that's not relevant either.

So, leave aside the references to politics. You have to admit, the points about the future of computing are compelling.
