Great news! Sun needs JBoss
This will help with the proliferation of Java and J2EE. Sun realizes that this needs to be a commodity in order to compete with .NET. Sun is really better off killing Microsoft, but having multiple independent implementations. The biggest customers will eventually want to move up to Sun's free J2EE server running on Solaris, but J2EE can get in the back-door with JBoss on Linux.
