Amazing coincidence of timing
Fascinating.

<< Not long after CBS aired its story on "60 Minutes II," dealing with memos that allegedly showed President Bush's Texas National Guard superiors raising questions about his service, a pseudonymous message board posting on the conservative FreeRepublic.com Web site called the documents a hoax. >>

The time frame "not long" was, in fact, mere minutes. Within minutes of the 60 Minutes reports someone was able to analyize the fonts and spacing from a brieft shot on TV and have expert analysis available?

Certainly is an amazing coincidence of timing. You'd think that someone was prepared for the contingency of those memos going public and had that handy analysis ready to go.

Politics has always been an ugly business, but I don't remember a campaign in my lifetime that was so blatantly manipulative, petty, evil, desperate, and calculatingly misleading. We have sunk to the level of Karl Rove.

I'm not sure what's worse: The statement it makes about politics, or the statement it makes about us.
