Prove Karl did it
If it was true it would be provable. The typeface isn't the common Windows truetype fonts (argued above), so Karl would have a uncommon printer with the matching typeface.

This can't be the first document printed from that printer so why not hunt through Karl memos and see if one of them matches.

But I'm not a big fan of complicated conspiracy theories like this, tricks within tricks. Karl may be smart enough to win the presidency, but it would be too much of a risk of backfiring on him.
