Denial of reality
1. You're working with a fascimile. Of course the fonts aren't a perfect match, you're looking at artifacts caused by the photocopying process. This isn't rocket science.

2. I don't have to be omnipresent to know the historical FACT that typewriters in the 1970s did NOT have th superscripts or curlicue quotes and apostrophes. You had to get a veritype machine or high-end typesetter for that kind of work. A totally ridiculous assumption for the clerk's office of a National Guard unit. Shoot, even having a proportional font typewriter in an ANG office in the 1970s is a pretty far stretch; those things were expensive.

3. No, the difference is that someone forged documents to try to make it appear that the honorabl discharge was suspect. The FACT isBush met his ANG requirements for the full time he was in.

4. This whole mountain from a molehill is nothing more than an attempt to distract from Kerry's very real problems with his own military service, and what's hilarious, is that if Kerry had just been able to shut up about Viet Nam, no one on the Republican side would have even brought it up. Although they probably would have talked about his anti-war protests and anti-military record in the Senate.

But, if your fantasies regarding Bush's dereliction of duty keep your hate for the man warm, feel free to keep nursing your delusions. The rest of us adults will make our judgements based on current facts and who Osama bin Laden would rather have as president in 2005.
