I don't know how a database as limited as this is going to lower anyone's cost. The 5 GB of data limitation makes this useless for many applications and certainly for any ISP with multiple applications to support. It seems to be more of a ploy to sell licenses as soon as users hit that limitation. I do agree with the speaker on one point. With a product this useless no one will want the source code. Sybase, like Novell, is now squeezed out of a market it once was important in. If they can simply keep their current licencees they will have to consider that a victory.
