And just yesterday, I had to install a printer located on our network in another city, found the printer, connected and ERROR! Driver message popped up telling me I needed a driver to use the printer. Click ok click install and poof! Driver was installed for me.

I have admin rights to my box, all of us do. Otherwise 90% of the software we use and tools wouldn't work without using the "runas" command which would require the user to have admin access in the first place!

This is just to do day to day stuff. Not true in the NIX world. Yes some apps need root access to run... guess what!? Those are usually administrative tools not day to day applications. I can't install a printer as a user, I HAVE to use sudo, su or sux to do so on a Linux box.
