Then what does that say about your CEO?
All you can do is your job. If your CEO ignores your expert advice, which is what he hired you for in the first place, then all you can do is tell him "I told you so" when everything comes crumbling down. Of course if you're afraid you'll be the one blamed even though your recommendations were ignored, then obviously you aren't in a very good job situation and need to start addressing that situation.

Fortunately I've earned enough of my company's CEO's trust that even though I do rank below most other managers, my recommendations are adhered to. Little things like fixing their home computers when they get infested with viruses and trojan horses and installing DVD burners for them help in that department. wink
