Picture imperfect for Netflix, TiVo

DirecTV lost me back to Cable a month ago...: I was a DirecTV customer for 10 years. I had no desire to leave.

Then High-Def came along.

What is DirecTV's solution for an HD/DVR Tivo box? A $1000 Hughes unit that is just as slow as the current HDVR2's. $1000 just to be able to have HD and Tivo at the same time. Right....

And even if you WERE crazy enough to spend it, you can't get one. Everyone is out of stock.

I went back to cable and the HD/DVR box (yes, it's a dual-channel recorder) costs me $9 a month.
