this patch breaks some of THEIR OWN software, for example: the VPN issue...

It's not just an issue of a couple of programs didn't work, it was that MS KNEW that 10% of applications might not work (that number came from them) and some of them were their own applications.

I think it's a safe guess that most of the broken applicatiosn are caused by the "security enhancements" which have NO, NONE, ZERO place being bundled with critical bug fixes. On top of that, most of us who would be applying the patch early do NOT need, or want, an enhanced firewall...
