Mike Roe Soft wasn't a problem either?
Anything that Micsosoft does with their lawyers draws a lot of press (and laughter!).

Not that Microsoft has any valid IP claims against this little company. Really, the most they would do is to create a little FUD around the legal issues.

And, the patent problem is there if you are an open source company or closed source company, or if you are big or small.
