Not enough
More choices is not enough. You have to remove the advantage MS has over using Windows as a distribution and marketing tool, and remove the power MS has to retool the Windows product to make life harder on their competitors. It is not enough to do 'due diligence' as a developer and use the 'appropriate' tools. MS tools have a way of ensuring MS success. End users have no clue and can be easily led down a road by MS.
