The Road Ahead
On the day after the release of a 64/32 bit computer that fits in
the footprint of an LCD monitor, Apple has other news as well.
Tiger is on track and will be shipping mid 05. The OS will have a
WinFS style search capability and dozens of other features. Like
other Apple software however, they will likely run in a modular
fashion to keep garbage out of the core system and keep the
basic computing "thin". All speculation to be sure. But as
Microsoft faces further delays with it's lock-in opus, Apple draws
on shared code. Microsoft no longer upgrades software. It
upgrades the news of software.

The results are on the table people. To support the idea of open
source is to support Apple and Linux.

Can't afford one? if you can aford a PC, you can afford a Mac.
Period. Without reanimating the corpse of TCO, lets just say
that, if you can't afford any PC at all please don't blame Apple
for it. Not in your power to make the decision? Stop whining,
grow a couple, and tell someone in charge that you're tired of
Windows nonsense. What is your time worth folks? Not very
much it seems.

As intrepid columnist David Berlind presumes to join the ranks
of the Mac users, there must be a few of you wondering what
you're missing?

Not enough software for the Mac. Change the word "software" to
"functionality", realize you are mistaken as you turn around
three times, click your heals together, then proptly blame
yourself for choosing a second rate, talentless monopoly from
the onset. I don't care if you're the best system administrator on
the planet. You are part of the problem.

regards
