Without MS them the industry would be petty
You have to take the good with the bad they have brought so much attention to IT in general that any bad stuff or anti competitive nature is nothing compared to what they have achieved for computing and technology in general. Imagine there was no MS and we have 64 different flavours of OS and so many DEV code bases they industry would a wash with crap. They might suck at some things but have saved us being beholden to something say China or India could produce they would not give up one secret like MS has done lately.

I think all this hype about what they did in the past is gone its meaningless there is enough energy in products like Linux and so on to not let MS do what they did no more so they are forced to compete and innovate isn?t that a great thing for IT and technology in general.
