Here's my view of E-books
I prefer reading online New Paper. No paper to toss. Same for a magazines. Tech books work great in E-book format too.

For a Novel though I'd never use an E-Book. The biggest reason is when I read for entertainment it's to get away from technology. So I'm not looking a monitor or TV. I can read by candle light when the power is out but if the battery goes on you the E-Book is useless in a power outage. Can the E-Book take the abuse that paper back can? I don't think so. Can I lend the book to a friend with out having to give them the reading device too. There are just too many problem with pure entertainment reading for this to ever work.
