As IE security advisories continue to break ...
( http://www.secunia.com etc. ) it will be interesting to see just how long IE can hold onto its marketshare. It is truly amazing to see so many new critical vulnerabilities that ONLY affect IE at a time when Microsoft claims that they are delaying practically all new products in order to fix security, and at the same time IE security just seems to get worse and worse. I really think that this is a potential crisis situation for Microsoft. Users will be watching the security sites, NOT the MS PR machine as they form their strategies. It is extremely hard to abandon IE as Microsoft has built so much into it in terms of Windows features. But more and more people watch these scary advisories flowing in and are saying they have had enough. For the first time IE's market share is shrinking. If Microsoft doesn't get it fixed soon, the errosion will accellerate. Its all going to be very interesting.
