You really need to learn how to spell
Offensive remarks mirror the individual making them. (Not that your lack of basic spelling skills offends anyone.)

---Support: Forums? Your joking right? Any sensible admin is not going to wait 24 hours for a reply on a forum whilst his server is down.---

Of course not. Any sensible MS admin is going to wait for three months for MS to quit scratching their watches and winding their arses. That way they get paid to do nothing while blaming MS for the problem.

Odd, you neglected to respond to the many Linux support organizations out there. Not really unusual since shills, just as MS, want to conceal the truth.

---Development: Sorry, but Linsux(sic) doesn't just work out fo(sic) the box. Development costs for any specialy(sic) apps will need to be implemented.---

This is actually two very different issues you've attempted to roll into one with your feeble attempt to confuse the true issue. First, Linux works out of the box exactly as advertised. I've never had a Linux distro not work out of the box. (I can honestly say I cannot say the same is true for MS)

Now, as far as specialty apps are concerned, exactly the same is true for any MS specialty apps as well. so, your point is....?

---Hardware/support/devolpment can be just AS MUCH on Linsux(sic).---

Which brings us back to the reason for using Linux---the money pit licensing costs for MS. For 2500 users with three servers with e-mail, a database and a file server, the savings can be over $3 million. Lest us not forget, the MS costs are recurring. You never pay for it. You still have to pay for it again and again and again and again and again. So that could amount to a savings of almost $10 million since 2000 by not using MS (win2k, winXP, win2003) because, as we all know, user licenses must be bought again with every new win version. I'll go out on a limb here and say I would bet a lot of development can be done for $10 million. Just the savings on the MS licensing will more than pay for development and the minimal training required. Of course, the training required is no more than what is required with every new MS release which makes training moot as well.

*Price quoted based on prices posted on MS website. Of course you won't find them there now. MS does not want anyone to compare prices when that is the only thing left to compare. I did copy/save the MS website where they once had prices.
