Um dude...you are way off here....but that is OK.
I was mocking the whole "If it's not AMERICAN it must be bad attitude" And the ATTITUDE that LINUX is somehow ANTI AMERICAN by pointing out in the past there is ample examples of people coming together for a common good. Sheeeeeezzzzz.

As for "Getting under the hood" well that is an arguement that many a Windows/dos user use to use against myself when we discussed operating systems. They often exclaimed that while the Mac OS seemed easier they cound not tinker with said and found Windows better cause the could get under the hood. So again this was my way of pointing out two things. Linux has a lot of the same appeal that in many ways Windows does to said windows users...and that learning while exploring the OS can be beneficial to anyone wanting to get into the computer technology field. It benefited many a Windows/Dos user in their time.

I'm not certain how much sharing across the globe is going on with the other OS's. I tend to doubt that Windows code is shared much..since it is for the most part closed and proprietary. But I guess I could be wrong.

I'm a glory, glory America kinda guy? hee hee hee..man:) Kill the injuns? Man! that's a stretch. I do like my country..but not right or wrong. I like it only when it is right, and will call it out each and everytime I think it could be better or do better..OK by you?

Is Linux an American product, or a world one. I was thinking that while it might have started out in America..the world has gone and adopted it and made it their own. This was not a American and NOBODY ELSE post...
