your logic is lacking....
so what if Unix outperformed it... that has NO berring on if Linux is good enough for the task at hand.
A $200,000 Diablo will out perform my $30,000 Mitsubishi, but it's more than "good enough" for my needs...

As for Google, so what if it uses clusters and loadblancing... all of a sudden you want to compare only single machines? hate to tell you this, but it's about TCO... what will give you the most bang for the buck.
