Linux may power South Korean schools
"The company had also submitted an alternative Unix-only proposal, but sources close to the project said the South Korean government is inclined toward the Linux-Unix combination."

Admitting linsux just isn't good enough to handle the problem, they needed a real Unix, not a hacked up clone.

"According to Jung Yong-Kyun, BearingPoint's consulting manager for the project, Linux was chosen as the operating system for the majority of the servers because it can handle the traffic from the dedicated servers at a lower cost."

It can handle traffic? LOL!! Um.. no it can't. Thats what the BSD tcp/ip stack is for. But if you want your servers to blow up go ahead and use linsux.

"Unix performed slightly better than Linux at the group server tests. So we decided to suggest Unix for those parts," Jung explained.

Another punch in the face to linsux by a real Unix, not just a hacked up clone of an OS.

I can't wait to see their servers fry under the traffic load, then kernel panic, then spend hours trying to reconfigure and recompile their kernel. Its going to be hilarious.
