Autogeneration of content (SPAM) is not that hard to do!
The article deals with servers, not the individual sender using a POP client (Outlook, Eudora, etc.) or an IMAP client (say Outlook Web Access on an Exchange server, or some random IMAP/Webmail server). This is something that ties the sender to a given client 9presumes POP) and the proposed solution deals with augmenting a DNS record (had you bothered to look into the details).

Try looking into the technical details of the proposed solution, you will find that it isn't concerened with what is on the client machine or the MUA (Outlook, Communicator, Eudoa, etc.). Spam can be autogenerated and sent using a listserver and a script!

Haven't you ever run a mail or list server for 100 users or more? Hav you no experience with mail filtering technologies (most of which reside on the server) such as SpamAssasin or procmail? This all (the whole article really) deals with server related issues!
