- You misunderstand!

The software with linux comes bundled in a package but you have the choice of what parts to install. If you don't want a particular browser, media player etc, simply choose another during installation. Unlike with windows, you cannot choose another browser, media player etc. And try to uninstall IE from windows....oooohh you can't. So, do you now see the difference.
