I'm glad the kids will get something better for a change!

It's better to train them now on a real OS instead of fooling them into believing ms is the way to go. This will prove, to all the uninformed, that linux is not so hard to learn after all. Are there any NBM'ers out there that are too dumb to read the instructions for a tar in linux? My son (14) did it on the first try with little instruction from anyone. He downloaded an audio app, double clicked on it (he was a little used to windows) and found...guess what? Yes a file that said read me, which he did and the only thing he had to ask was: How to open a terminal window, and what is su? I'd even bet if I wasn't there he could have searched the web and found out for himself. The only "hard" part was to make a new launcher for the program (which I learned from the web). After he finished installation he asked "why do people say linux is hard to learn?" Well we all know that if people can't figure something out they whine about it being too hard. Come to think of it microsofties like to let BG do things for them, so they don't have to think for themselves. Like Cuatle said in Total Recall: "Free your mind."
