WhoOoOoOooo..those scary inanimate objects
I'm going to get flamed for this, but who cares, it's Friday. That's the second reference to guns. First off, the bed wetting liberals did try and sue the gun manufacturers for misuse of their project. Guess what - same outcome. It wasn't a defective product; it was the end user's misuse of it that caused harm. It's no different that the previous example of trying to sue Sears because someone got clocked in the head with a claw hammer. Lump this in with suing McD's because you eat four Big Mac's a week and your rear looks like a VW. It's called common sense and responsibility for your actions people, try it sometime. If you people had your way, we'd all walk around in plastic bubbles so nothing or nobody could harm us.

Guns don't kill people. People who pull the trigger causing a mechanical/physical/chemical chain reaction which sends a small chuck of lead down a barrel at a very high velocity to impact another person's body do. It's an inanimate chunk of metal for God's sake. Take your example...

Heck... why don't we apply this logic to baseball bats? Kitchen knives? Cars? Lawn Mowers?

Where does it end?!?

How many people are killed every year from drunk drivers and you don't see anybody suing the automakers. They made those super heavy things that can go so fast - it's just a machine of death!!

And before you go throwing the argument out there that guns have only one purpose and that is to kill, how many times have guns been used for self-defense purposes? How many rapists/muggers have decided to just walk away from simply the sight of a gun?

And besides, assault rifles are used in a very small percentage of crime. It's simply a neat term dreamt up to instill images of death and carnage to.....you guessed it - an inanimate object.

Tell ya what - you want the P2P market to vanish, start putting Assault in front of it. Assault Morpheus. Assault Kazaa. Man, those must be evil. Congress had better deal with that quick!
