Increasing revenue vs cutting costs...
After watching this economic morass in this country for 30 years, I've noticed one thing. Industries cued in on cutting costs are on a neverending downwards spiral that puts them out of business. Mergers to consolidate resources and leverage economies of scale rarely do so. Either your industry is on a sure footing, growing to provide needed products or services or you are working in a corporation that is merely rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. And basically anything done for the sake of the stockholders is a continuance of the same.
