RE: Google Gadgets on Ubuntu 64-bit
I was able to install Google Gadgets on my 64-bit box, but it required installing about a dozen developent packages, and then compiling from source. Once done, the Gadgets did indeed work, but only in the Sidebar. They did not float, as Screenlets do. I will stick with Screenlets until there is a working deb package, and the Gadgets work as standalone widgets.
