The Purpose of the Article
The purpose of the article is to point out that though there are lots of physical limitations of the Web today (slow, unreliable, too much page refresh, online available only, etc), these physical limiations can be overcome by smart software.

It is possible that you can build and deploy "web applications" that are as functional as "thick client" applications, if you architect your software to get around the hardware problems. Applications like iTunes and Groove are good examples. One customer of Nexaweb runs a property management application to over 4000 hotels over the Web via VSAT connections - more challenging than typical Internet - as another example.
