These XML guys are desperate
I already know of a few failed XML integration projects and the truth is that they will continue to fail.

XML is basically a throwback to hierarchical approaches to database management that were abandoned in favour of the relational model back in the eighties. The hierarchical approach can be made to work but only with a huge amount of work, inflexibility and unreliability.

XML is obsolete at birth and no amount of eXcitable Marketing Language will alter this fact.
