- Web is ready for intranet functions
- The Web is not ready, but for heavy duty intranet functions it is. For external offices it is not ready to replace thick clients or in office servers with high speed connections. Web is to slow and unreliable. To make it reliable also makes it expensive, like buying T1 lines are reliable but not cable or xDSL or modem. Until the backbone of the internet and the last mile problem is fixed it will never be very good for any large Internet app.
