There are also other ways that companies could gain
marketshare besides lowering the price. Higher quality
files, different file formats, lessening DRM are just a few.
So far, Apple seems to have gotten things the "rightest"
but having more companies involved will certainly lead to
some new experiments.

Remember that the price is really being set by the record
companies, and since they kind of want this whole thing to
fail, I don't see them backing down any time soon.
