I suppose that your MSCE's can handle...

Novell? OS/2? Mac OS X? OpenBSD? HP-UX?

Why not buy a contract and let three Linux experts handle Linux and fire your 17 MSCE's?

Quite frankly, I never tested for MSCE and I have proven myself with all the above save for Mac. Waiting for the Op to knock. Linux, BSD and Novell are immensly easier for an unfamiliar to understand than Window$.

I would rather spend money training CNE's Linux than training MCSE's Mac OS X.

I can also prove that the more you invest in SCO G the more likely you are to go bankrupt. In fact that holds true for all companies including M$.

Never put all your eggs in one basket or one week of poor performance on NASDAQ and its bye-bye baby.

PS. It would be only FUD to claim to have "overwhelming data" and not provide it. I am tired of three year old data about Linux kernel 2.2.x on PIII's.

Try running Gentoo with kernel 2.6.7 on an Athlon64 or an Opteron and compare that to Win2003 on any 64 bit platform you like. While you're at it, compare all the 64 bit apps such as office productivity tools, databases, multimedia editors, etc. It won't take you that long. After all, how many 64 bit apps run on Win2003?
